Dear surprised reader,
Yes, it’s an out-of-bounds newsletter!
I wrote a small comic earlier this year with Belfast-based comic book artist PJ Holden. It’s part of his weekly Null Space project, where he draws a one-page comic from a wide variety of writers.
I’ve known PJ for a number of years — we first met at the much-missed 2D Comic Book Festival in Derry, Northern Ireland. He’s best known for his sterling work for the Dept. Of Monsterology graphic novels and 2000 AD, the British weekly comic book, for which I’ve also written.
This on-going project displays PJ’s versatility, and it’s worth clicking through to read the bite-size entries. And he’s doing it for free! Go buy his comics!
When he mentioned he was looking for a seasonal comic, I wrote this piece, and I was delighted when he chose to draw it.
Here it is. I hope you enjoy it!
As a bonus, you can click through to PJ’s web site, where he also shows my original script for the comic.
Have a very merry midwinter!
Aw I loved reading the script!
