Yes, I think always trying to 'monetise' our passions can be counter productive. It's important to have pure hobbies and creative expressions that we do to for the fun. The hustle 'culture' stresses people out and forces you to be 'on' perpetually. I feel compassion for this impulse, in myself and in others. It's hard to resist those forces in this world atm. Letting go, relaxing into what is flowing, and being able to move fluidly with the currents is a lot harder than it seems because it can appear unproductive (the worse sin!).

I'm a big Leonora fan too. I come back to her work often.

Gareth, It's interesting the tales we have accepted as truth that fall apart upon examination. Adopting a practice of being curious and open, even to the hard times that befall us, can be so useful. Over the years I have worked consistently to examine concepts of myself that are outdated or not useful. Then there are ones that creep in that can escape the radar. I am a work in progress! 😆

Thanks for this. Lately, I've been struggling with the fear of doing things the wrong way. But is there really a wrong way to do things? It's something I have to constantly reask whenever that fear pops up, but it's a hard one to get over.

Yes, it's useful to consider our way of doing things, if it helpful. When it is pure criticism then it is counter productive. The only right way is the way that works for you. If you get results from that then carry on!
