Aw, it's really lovely to have these memories. Martin and I are slowly doing a Buffy re-watch in between our other shows.
I remember your giant boxed set of the Highlander TV series, do you still have it? BTW, have you heard there is a new Highlander movie planned? It will begin shooting in 2025. Henry Cavill will play Connor MacLeod, and it will be directed by Chad Stahelski, who directed the John Wick movies. Expect movement on a Highlander TV series reboot which had been burbling underneath for over a decade. It's crazy to think that the original TV series first aired in 1992! 🤯
1992, that was just a few years ago, right? I actually sold the VHS Highlander set and bought it as DVDs. I did hear about the reboot with Henry Cavill. I am cautiously excited about it. :-)
Yes, I'm somewhat optimistic by the pairing but we'll see if it comes together... Looking back, VHS box sets were enormous, especially compared to their replacements. Luckily, I didn't get into collecting until the DVD revolution...
I loved this glimpse into the history of VHS and the Desilu production company! Thanks!
Glad to oblige!
This makes me wax nostalgic for the days when Bruce came over every Tuesday night to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer with us!
