Thanks for the book recommendation! My dad's 75th birthday is in September and he is a mathematician so he loves problems and puzzles to solve. If only he could solve my anxiety problem after my mother passing for me. Ha. But that sounds like a great book for him and me and maybe I can snag a copy too and we can work on it together. Thanks for the idea! ♥️ I too never know how to spell Sudoku... I think I butchered it 3 times just now writing it out, lol.

Glad you had a nice trip. I love those trips with the hubs that are just us and we are exploring. It's a gift and a blessing all of its own, travel buddies for life. Xoxo. 💗

Daily game I play: Movie Grid. It’s online and a real challenge for movie nerds (the more obscure the film answer, the better the score).

That sounds like a game I can recommend to some of my pals, thanks!

I'm a lifelong sucker for Tetris and various forms of Solitaire. I was on the Wordle bandwagon with everyone else for a while (I still enjoy it, but I forget to play). I attempt the occasional crossword but I'm not very good at them, they are sort of their own language. I've tried Sudoku a few times and found it challenging but fun. I can see a common theme across all of these games/puzzles of the weirdly deep satisfaction that comes from putting things into their rightful place.

Yes, it offers us control over a small domain, and within that arena we can solve its issues. The idea that there is an order that can be ferreted out and restored is deeply satisfying.

I know what you mean about crosswords... they are about learning a style and you may not be able to solve every clue. But in Sudoku it's plain numbers and you can solve it with persistence and logic.

Tetris! Now there's a simple and fun game.
